A few outings and some testing Super35/APS-C Crop Mode on the Sony A7R3
I missed last week getting out and capturing a few images so didn't have much to add here but had a chance to get out some this week to revisit a few places as well as visit a few new ones.
One of the places I visited last week after some recommendations from other Instagram photographers here in DC was to check out the view from the Netherlands Carillon which has an amazing view of the monuments. Also in the area is the US Marine Corps War Memorial which has been under maintenance for a while but it was in great shape and I was able to capture a good shot of it this time.
One of the things I also wanted to test while I was there was the APS-C/Super35 mode on the A7RIII to see if the in body crop vs cropping in post made much of a image quality difference and really I did not find a major difference in stills. I could see this being a benefit in video in certain occasions but not a massive benefit in stills.
My wife and I also got the chance to go to a baseball game in Camden Yards in Baltimore to knock off another stadium that we could catch a Texas Rangers game at.
